We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Collections Manager to oversee the global collections process and ensure timely receipt of outstanding accounts receivable. This role plays a critical part in managing client relationships, reducing aged debt, improving cash flow, and supporting our financial performance. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and a customer-focused mindset aligned with Jensen Hughes' commitment to integrity and excellence.

  • Lead and manage the collections team responsible for the company's receivables portfolio across various regions and business units.
  • Develop and implement effective collection strategies to reduce aged receivables and improve DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
  • Partner with internal stakeholders including project managers, billing teams, and legal counsel to resolve client disputes and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Monitor collection metrics and KPIs; prepare and present reports to senior management.
  • Support the credit and risk assessment process for new and existing clients.
  • Enhance collection workflows through continuous improvement and automation opportunities (e.g., ERP enhancements).
  • Manage escalations and ensure compliance with company policy, client agreements, and relevant regulations.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and performance management to collections staff.
  • Ensure alignment with Jensen Hughes' values, particularly when dealing with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in collections.
  • Minimum 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role of a team of at least 5 people.
  • Proven track record of reducing DSO and improving collections processes.
  • Strong understanding of billing, credit, and collections principles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Experience in engineering professional services or consulting environment (AEC industry strongly preferred).
  • Knowledge of government and private sector contract billing structures (T&M, Fixed Fee, etc.).
