About The Position

The Global Client Account Services Analyst is an integral part of Latham’s Global Finance team. This role will be responsible for serving as a resource for the firm concerning global billing processes, procedures, and policies, while also offering billing operations overflow support to local practice offices, as well as serving as a liaison between billing attorneys/attorney support and practice office billing staff, offering subject matter expert-level support, and addressing and resolving highly complex and sensitive billing issues. This role will be located in either our New York, Boston, or Washington DC office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the 3E Billing system
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the accounts receivable life cycle, from production to collection
  • Exhibit well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all organizational levels within the firm
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressively complex experience in accounting and billing, preferably

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the management team to identify opportunities for implementing process improvements and enhancing efficiencies
  • Analyzing service-related activities concerning bill management and processing for the firm; providing recommendations for resolutions based on analysis findings; addressing inquiries from practice offices and other internal and external customers through various communication methods
  • Performing quality assurance tasks for the practice offices designed to review the productivity and accuracy of bills and the client service inquiry process; ensuring that responses are appropriately aligned with the firm's policies, procedures, and standards, as well as statutory regulations and guidelines
  • Visiting practice offices to facilitate training and development initiatives and to implement system or process improvements aimed at minimizing errors and reducing workload-intensive activities
  • Serving as the firm's 3E Process Expert, collaborating on the design, development, and implementation of training courses; compiling and providing documentation and feedback for all training programs to ensure successful outcomes
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
