About The Position

Position Summary The Analyst, Global Benefits, reporting to the AVP, Global Benefits, provides broad-based full-service administrative support to Corporate, Regional, and Site Directors of Human Resources for the North America Segment at Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW). Responsibilities include supporting the organization’s benefits, including but not limited to, health and welfare, retirement and stock plans, paid time off, state regulatory leaves, wellness program initiatives and more. This role ensures that employee benefits comply with state and federal regulations and meet the needs of the employees and the company’s benefit programs. This position serves as a point of contact for Corporate, Regional, and site Human Resources professionals, as well as Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW) associates. Responsibilities include answering questions about benefit plans and administration, providing guidance, completing related documentation, conducting research and resolving basic inquiries, and escalating more complex inquiries and issues internally as appropriate. This role uses knowledge, professional experience, and sound judgement in commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures to effectively plan and perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals. This position handles assigned duties referencing internal policies, instructions, procedures and processes. Works in partnership with the Benefits team and other Centers of Excellence to achieve ASC service delivery standards. This position requires significant creativity and independent judgement. Expected Contributions Responds to questions, requests, and concerns from employees and management regarding various benefit programs, policies and guidelines. Responds promptly and accurately to benefit inquiries from associates, managers, and vendors. Uses benefits knowledge and other resources to resolve escalated employee benefit questions and issues. Facilitates wellness initiatives by managing the scheduling, communication, and coordination of virtual and onsite wellness events throughout the year. Audits file feed data issues, ensuring upload of data is accurate in both Workday and Vendor systems. Assists in the updating and processing of policy and plan design changes related to benefits, paid time off and other related leaves. Manages Disability Insurance eligibility, monthly reporting, and invoicing for main and executive plans. Performs research and provides recommendations for complex inquiries. Partners with internal HR teams, including but not limited to Payroll, HRIS, HR Leaders, Associate Service Center on benefit related matters. Stays current on industry trends and changes in regulations related to employee benefits. Frequently takes on assignments in various team areas and manages multiple complex processes. Assists others in research and provides guidance on the most effective way to obtain information. Regularly exercises independent judgment when carrying out responsibilities. Performs additional duties as required. Candidate Profile Education Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Human Resources, etc.) or equivalent experience preferred. Experience A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in HR benefit administration. Strong computer skills and knowledge of Workday, preferred. Is results oriented; delivers results under difficult conditions and demonstrates balanced judgment under pressure. Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a broad group of stakeholders Analyzes and assesses situations to find effective solutions; creative problem solver; engages in fixing the problem. Strong mediation skills to facilitate a constructive approach to dealing with conflict. Demonstrates cultural sensitivity with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from different countries and cultures. Requirements
