About The Position
Cogent Communications is seeking a Global Account Manager to join our dynamic sales team in Vienna, VA. As a multinational, Tier 1 facilities-based ISP, we are consistently ranked among the top five networks globally and are publicly traded on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol CCOI. Our company specializes in providing high-speed Internet access and Ethernet transport services, leveraging one of the largest and highest capacity IP networks in the world. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including IP Transit, content creators, carriers, wholesalers, and netcentric companies. In this role, you will be responsible for hunting and identifying new business opportunities within a global sales territory. You will engage with key decision-makers through direct calling, email outreach, and onsite customer meetings as necessary. Your consultative selling approach will help you position our services effectively, leveraging our extensive global network footprint that includes commercial and retail buildings, carrier-neutral hotels, data centers, and colocation facilities. The position is designed to foster your success through focused mentorship, training, and personal coaching in an in-office environment five days a week. Cogent offers a generous base salary with structured tenure pay increases and an uncapped commissions plan, providing unlimited earnings potential. Additionally, a full benefits package will take effect within 30 days of employment, including matching stock options. Our Global Account Managers have the opportunity to grow their base pay significantly based on performance, with achievable upside potential of $20,000 to $70,000.
