About The Position

The Account Manager is the day-to-day contact on the Sales Team for existing clients to ensure their needs are met, as well as to renew and expand current client contracts. Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, any field; equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Account Manager or Account Coordinator.
  • Must have or be willing and able to obtain a Life & Health insurance license in their state of residence.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks to completion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work and collaborate with individuals or group at all organizational levels; ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years’ of work experience specializing in US health insurance, customer service, sales, or employee benefits is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage broker and employer client relationships and develop new business from existing clients.
  • Work with carrier partners to provide ongoing support to Brokers and clients and refer service problems and questions for resolution.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of long-lasting partnerships.
  • Manage the annual renewal process.
  • Conduct enrollment meetings and attend meetings with brokers/clients as necessary.
  • Identify and develop cross sell opportunities.
  • Track key account/market metrics and prepare reports for management.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual targets.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the quoting process for assigned market(s).
  • Participate in meetings as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to US healthcare and Renewals.
  • Identify and report issues and opportunities for improvement related to processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to Renewal processes, including reports, metrics, and improvement plans.
  • Supporting and sustaining a positive work environment that fosters team performance through own work and behavior.
  • Performing special tasks and assignments as needed.
