The Global Account Manager is responsible for leading and growing strategic relationships with our large, international Life Sciences account. Reporting to the VP of Life Sciences you could be based from a variety of locations in North America. The role will offer extensive travel both domestically and internationally.

  • Represent all of Rockwell Automation's products & services well and periodically must augment skills with additional competency to support customer-critical products & services.
  • Interact comfortably with the Global Account at senior management & executive levels and convey Rockwell Automation's products & services in a manner that demonstrates tangible economic value.
  • Effectively promote business growth through indirect management of extended teams.
  • Develop a trust-based, mutually beneficial relationship with principal customer sponsors of the Global Account.
  • Qualify opportunities to deploy Rockwell Automation resources on high potential activities.
  • Ensure that the Global Account has access to all Rockwell Automation resources by establishing excellent working relationships.
  • Participate in the Global Account's manufacturing, planning, and implementation teams.
  • Identify new growth opportunities in products and services for mutual benefit.
  • Provide the annual plan for the Global Account in coordination with geographic Rockwell Automation sales/support offices.
  • Work with the Global Account to expand Rockwell Automation's presence globally.
  • Travel to communicate Global Account relationship goals to extended teams.
  • Define mutually agreeable opportunities to use Global Account applications or solutions.
  • Model the capabilities of an 'Executive Sales Professional' to sales colleagues.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent years experience.
  • Legal Authorization to work in the US is required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of time.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline or more than 8 years of prior experience in technical sales.
  • Additional business-related degree/experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in technical sales, industrial distribution, systems integration or an engineering firm.
  • Applied experience in selling control/information solutions into target industries.
  • Global sales experience.
  • Working knowledge of Pharma 4.0 and Internet of Things technologies.
  • IOT / IIOT / Software / Annual Recurring Revenue-Subscription model type of experience.
