About The Position

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Global Account Manager - Data Center to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Team. This is a remote position. The Global Account Manager will lead and grow strategic relationships with hyperscale and colocation (colo) end users in the data center industry. The primary emphasis of this role is to directly engage with the world's largest data center clients, understanding their unique requirements, and positioning our company as their preferred partner for global-scale projects. Success will require seamless collaboration with the Electrical Wiring Systems and Legrand North America sales leaders, leveraging collective expertise and resources to deliver innovative, customer-centric solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep industry knowledge, technical acumen, and a proven ability to navigate complex, multinational environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline; MBA or other advanced degrees are a plus.
  • 5+ years of account management, business development, or sales experience focused on the data center industry, with a strong emphasis on hyperscale and colo end users.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data center design, electrical infrastructure, and end user decision-making processes on a global scale.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, technical sales cycles and delivering results for large, multinational accounts.
  • Experience collaborating across multi-functional and international teams, especially with sales leadership.
  • Advanced proficiency with CRM platforms and data analytics for opportunity management and performance tracking.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills across diverse audiences and cultural contexts.
  • Technical expertise with the ability to position and discuss complex electrical solutions for hyperscale and colo clients.
  • Strategic and global mindset with a record of executing long-term growth initiatives.
  • Proven relationship builder, able to engage and influence key stakeholders at all organizational levels and geographies.
  • Results-oriented approach with a strong track record of exceeding ambitious sales targets.
  • Innovative problem-solver, able to identify challenges and deliver creative, scalable solutions for major end users.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and expand relationships with key hyperscale and colo end users, building trust and long-term partnerships at both the regional and global level.
  • Design and implement account-specific strategies tailored to hyperscale and colo customers, targeting revenue growth, profitability, and increased market share within the data center vertical.
  • Identify, pursue, and oversee large-scale, multi-region project opportunities, ensuring successful outcomes by collaborating closely with local field teams, Electrical Wiring Systems and Legrand North America sales leaders, and executive management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for data center power distribution, cable management, and electrical systems, aligning our solutions with the evolving needs of global hyperscale and colo operators.
  • Partner proactively with Electrical Wiring Systems and Legrand North America sales leaders and internal teams—including product development, engineering, marketing, and operations—to deliver unified, innovative solutions to end users.
  • Monitor trends in the hyperscale and colo space, track evolving customer requirements, and analyze competitive activity to inform account strategy and uncover new business opportunities.
  • Provide regular, data-driven updates on global account performance, project pipeline, and accurate forecasts to senior leadership.
  • Negotiate terms, global pricing strategies, and agreements that deliver sustained value for both customers and the company across regions.
  • Represent organization at key industry events, international trade shows, and customer meetings (travel may reach up to 50% globally).
