About The Position

Omni Glass & Paint is hiring a full-time Glazier Apprentice to join our skilled construction team in Oshkosh, WI. Since 1967, we've built a strong reputation across Wisconsin for quality commercial glass installation in schools, hospitals, office buildings, storefronts, and more. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • You must have a valid driver's license, strong attendance, and the ability to travel to various job sites throughout the state.
  • Experience with hand and power tools is required, along with basic math skills and the ability to read ruler measurements.
  • Physical strength, stamina, good hand-eye coordination, and a strong commitment to safety are essential.
  • Eager to learn, willing to work hard, and ready to contribute to a team-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Construction, carpentry, or commercial glass experience is preferred but not required.
  • The ability to read blueprints and architectural drawings is also a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in installing glass and glazing systems on commercial buildings, including storefront doors and systems, curtain walls, skylights, and large-scale window installations.
  • Learn to work with materials such as glass, composite panels, and polycarbonate while supporting the installation of aluminum storefront and curtain wall framing systems.
  • Help measure and cut materials
  • Prepare work areas
  • Remove old or damaged glass
  • Seal and weatherproofing installations.
  • Read and follow blueprints and shop drawings
  • Maintain tools and equipment.
  • Work closely with foremen, project managers, and customers to ensure high-quality results.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use proper protective equipment at all times.
