About The Position

Glazier Apprentice/Aluminum Shop Worker Summary: Fabricates aluminum framing to meet production schedules, able to work and communicate with all employees, responsible for staging jobs and ensuring all pieces are accounted for. Role and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed Partners with our Safety Department and Operations Leadership to promote and ensure a safe work environment and ensure all safety precautions are met. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Responsibilities

Able to read and understand shop drawings
Able to read and understand system specific fabrication instructions
Able to lift 55 pounds on a regular basis
A good understanding of required fabrication techniques for current aluminum manufacturers
Communicate with Shop Lead/Area Manager any inventory needs required for the aluminum shop
Follow a fabrication release, accurately cut material, fabricate, and assemble
Assist Department Head to receive, unpack, examine and check in materials
Assist Department Head to move materials from receiving areas.
Sort and place on racks or shelves.
Mark materials with identifying information
