About The Position

In this role, you will report to the site services manager and will work closely with Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group, serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. The work done changes people's lives for the better, bringing new patient treatments and therapies to market and enabling medical devices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1+ years in customer service, inventory replenishment, or material handling required
  • Able to lift 35 lbs required
  • Working independently and on a team
  • Maintain a professional, safe, and clean work environment
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external teams
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Teams experience preferred
  • 1+ years of glass wash experience preferred and/or applicable work experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure glasswash runs are consistent and utilization of the chemwash is maximized
  • Changeover as soon as a cycle is complete
  • Collection of dirty glassware and return of clean glassware to/from POUs within the labs
  • Transport of glassware to and from POUs to the glasswash room
  • Use of glasswash machines and handwashing as needed
  • Sterilization of equipment and materials as needed using autoclave equipment
  • Documentation associated with the maintenance of equipment
  • Communicate activities and volumes with the customer every month
  • Ad hoc glasswash and autoclave requests as time permits
  • Follow all of the customer Safety Program requirements
  • Monitor and recommend stocking level changes for glasswash consumables
  • Maintain metrics and key performance indicators
  • Time Permitting, support additional Technician activities such as supporting the recycling/sustainability programs for PPE and lab plastics
  • Monitor POUs for restocking over the weekend
  • Conduct other lab support activities as mutually agreed
