About The Position

As part of the Open Road Collision group DBA Car Crafters Collision, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality collision repair services with exceptional customer care. Our team is dedicated to restoring vehicles to pre-accident conditions while making the repair process as smooth and stress-free as possible for our customers. We're currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Glass Technician. The Glass Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing automotive, residential, or commercial glass with a focus on safety, precision, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Why Work With Us? Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Experience in glass installation or auto body repair preferred; training may be provided.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and replace windshields, door glass, back glass, mirrors, and other glass components.
  • Inspect vehicles, windows, or structures to determine the extent of damage and necessary repairs.
  • Remove broken or damaged glass safely and clean the work area thoroughly.
  • Use adhesive systems, hand tools, and power tools accurately in compliance with safety standards.
  • Ensure proper sealing, bonding, and curing of glass installations.
  • Follow all industry safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Maintain inventory of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Document work performed using company systems or work orders.
  • Assist with mobile service appointments as required.
