About The Position

Cardinal Glass is seeking a Glass Production Associate for a direct hire position in their state-of-the-art manufacturing plant. This role involves operating machines in a production environment to manufacture coated and tempered residential glass. The ideal candidate will be good with their hands, a problem solver, and take pride in producing a high-quality finished product. Responsibilities include loading and offloading glass onto the production line, maintaining cleanliness, assisting other departments, performing quality assurance tests, and ensuring safety. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized and positive warehouse environment
Ability to frequently lift glass that may weigh up to 50 lbs
Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week plus optional overtime
Attention to detail and good time management skills
Experienced with using machines in a production environment
Good with your hands, a problem solver, and take pride in making sure you produce an amazing, finished product
Complete and pass a pre-employment drug screening
Complete and pass a fit-for-duty physical

Responsibilities

Place glass on bungees, secure glass on racks, Pack A-frames and prepare racks for shipping
Keep up the cleanliness at the line, sweeping and clearing glass as necessary
Help other departments as needed - assist in other areas when necessary
Perform tempering break test for quality assurance
Clean up broken glass - done throughout shift to maintain a safe work environment
Clean out space under the furnace - performed every 3 months
Ensure safety measures are taking place at all times
Keep a high rate of productivity
Offload or load glass onto the production line
