About The Position

Glass/ Hardware Installer Job Summary: We are a fast-growing, family-owned company seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator/ Assembler to join our aluminum and glass storefront door team. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for building custom storefront doors from raw aluminum "stick" material—Assembling each unit based on unique customer specifications.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and fabrication mindset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and shop drawings.
  • Proficient in using basic fabrication tools, Allen wrenches, Malet, Chisel, Box Cutter, Scissors, and Hand Drill.
  • Proficient in using glass suction cups.
  • Proficient in using a tape measure and performing basic math calculations, including fractions and angles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to maintain focus and safety awareness in a busy, physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent attendance and dependability.
  • High School or Equivalent (Preferred)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently on a repetitive basis throughout the shift and assist with team lifts of items weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work at fabrication tables, saw stations, and other shop equipment for extended periods and perform all duties safely.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precision installation of glass in aluminum storefront door, securing with rubber gaskets and verifying alignment to architectural specifications.
  • Perform precision installation of hardware on aluminum storefront door and verify alignment to architectural specifications.
  • Inspect aluminum material for surface defects such as marks or scratches prior to packaging to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Inspect completed assemblies to verify quality, structural integrity, and dimensional accuracy, and document finished products with photos.
  • Proactively identify and report operational issues to the department lead or supervisor
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
