About The Position

The Glass Handling Specialist is an essential job function to the success of Mygrant Glass. Glass Handling Specialists operate material handling equipment to select, stock, and organize products as well as hand-handle materials to stage at appropriate load sites. Glass Handling Specialists are responsible for timely and accurately selecting and stocking products to best achieve key performance indicators, directly impacting our customer service-oriented goals.

Requirements

  • Experience in a warehouse environment
  • Familiar with modern warehouse softwarewith basic computer skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Detailand Safetyoriented with a mind for accuracy

  • Abeginner’smindsetthat is coachable and open to feedback

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s licensepreferred
  • CMV DOT Medical Card preferred
  • Pass andmaintainForklift certification
  • 2+ years warehouse or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Selectincoming pickticketsaccordingusing RFID technology toaccuratelyfulfill customer orders.
  • Prepares, packs, and scans (asappropriate), and stages products for transfer and customer pick-up and deliveryin accordance withestablished standards.
  • Quickly and accurately receive,process,and store incoming auto glass product shipments.
  • Ensuresshipments areinspected,and damages or shortages are documented and recorded. Initiatesfreightclaim procedure when necessary.
  • Checks incoming delivery contents against packing list to verifyaccurateand full delivery.
  • Verifies vendor part number and MGC stock number for all incoming products.
  • Prepares receiving reports andnotesany shortages,damagesor overages. Promptly reports any discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Stores incoming products in proper location according to bin number or product sequence.
  • Determinesproper bin number and/or location of incoming products.
  • Verifies actual counts of stock against CORE inventory. Investigates andreportsdiscrepancies.
  • Operates hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and OR other equipment safely andin accordance withorganizational procedures.
  • Monitors equipment and promptly reports any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisors
  • Maintains required hazardous materials, forklift, and other internal and external certifications
  • Break down boxes, stockaccessoriesand organize inventory as directed
  • Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards.
  • Assistinmaintainingappearanceofbranchas needed. Clean warehouse, counter area, etc.
  • Aid in prepping, inspecting,labelingand loadingsafelyto maintainKPI objectivesand limit breakage.
  • Loads delivery vehicles andassistscustomerswith willcall pickups.
  • Drive company vehicles for customer deliveries, transfers or assigned maintenance
  • Processes customer returns. Ensures returns are insellablecondition per company policy.
  • Verifies that warranty paperwork has been properly and neatly filled out. Initiates warranty return process, and stages product in warranty area.
  • Processes documentation necessary to ship transfers and customer orders, including bills of lading, packing lists, small parcelmanifests,and other necessary documents.
  • Performscyclecounting on assigned items to keepaccurateinventory records.
  • Perform other job tasks as assigned.
