About The Position

We are looking for a skilled GitHub Platform Administrator to join the team at accentedge. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our GitHub environment, ensuring efficient version control practices and enhancing collaboration among our development teams. You will play a key role in maintaining repositories, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshooting any issues that arise within the platform.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in version control systems, particularly with Git and GitHub.
• Proficient in GitHub administration, including repository management, branch policies, and workflows.
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment practices, including the use of tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira or Trello, and understanding how they integrate with GitHub.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate repetitive tasks and enhance workflows.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve issues related to the GitHub platform quickly and efficiently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with GitHub security practices and best practices for access control and compliance.
• Experience in onboarding and training team members on Git and GitHub usage.
• Understanding of containerization and microservices architecture as they relate to version control.
