About The Position
As a GIS Technician at EASi Engineering, you will be an integral part of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) team, responsible for analyzing and managing spatial data for a variety of projects. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to apply their technical skills in a dynamic environment, utilizing cutting-edge technology to contribute to the development of innovative mapping solutions. You will engage in data mining, working with large file structures, and performing geometric fixes and orthorectification to ensure the accuracy and reliability of geospatial data. Your primary responsibilities will include utilizing GIS software to create, edit, and maintain geospatial data, conducting data collection using GPS and other surveying tools, and performing data analysis to extract meaningful insights from the data. You will also assist in the development and maintenance of databases, collaborate with team members to ensure accurate mapping information, and implement Python scripts for automation tasks. Additionally, you will support land surveying activities as needed, making this position both challenging and rewarding. This full-time position offers a standard work schedule of Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with the option to work four ten-hour days, providing flexibility in your work-life balance.
