A Geographic Information System (GIS) Technician, under the general direction of the Equalization Director and Deputy Equalization Director, performs a variety of analytical and technical tasks involving the development, maintenance, and management of various Geographic Information System (GIS) data. The employee in this class creates and maintains GIS related data within Muskegon County's Enterprise GIS, ensuring adherence with established standards and procedures. A GIS Technician assists in reviewing legal and tax roll property descriptions and the creation, analysis, and production of a variety of maps and GIS datasets, and performs other related duties as assigned.
