About The Position

THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT ATTEMPT TO LIST ALL OF THE DUTIES THAT ARE OR MAY BE PERFORMED IN THIS POSITION Primary Duties . Performs as-built changes, mapping corrections, leak, and prepare maintenance jobs for permanent mapping and record keeping. May modify graphics and/or database attributes to correspond to field verification of facilities. Audits, reconciles, and corrects Corporate Property Records, GIS Automated Mapping/Facility Management Geographic Information Systems, Gas and/or other engineering databases. May perform routine calculations and drafting duties in digitizing geographical data by creating a multi-layered GIS database with new streets, subdivisions, addresses, and other land features used for projects design, construction, and maintenance. May maintain political and jurisdiction boundaries used in internal reporting of territories and distribution property inventories, and corporate and regulatory taxing. Generates, reproduces, and maintains files of plans, maps, and engineering drawings. Prepares, processes and otherwise handles electronic or hardcopy documents, forms and/or other data as required. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education/Experience Level: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of natural gas, utility or related industry experience, or equivalent. Communication Skills: Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide basic types of factual information. Numeric Skills: Requires the ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Computer Skills: Requires proficient computer skills for data entry, reporting, reference and/or retrieval tasks. Work Conditions: Works in an office environment. May on occasion work in an outdoor environment for field or site visits. Requires frequently performing activities including, but not limited to sitting, repetitive wrist movement and/or shifting gaze from data to PC screen. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting. Requirements
