As a GIS Technician, you will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing spatial data, utilizing advanced GIS software to support various projects. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and effective communication with leadership to ensure project success. You will be responsible for navigating and managing cloud-based software and tools, as well as performing occasional fieldwork to collect and validate data using GIS hardware and software. Your attention to detail and design principles will be essential in creating accurate and interpretable maps and visualizations. In this role, you will utilize the Esri ArcGIS suite of software to create, import, edit, and manage spatial data from various file types, including GDB, DWG, SHP, XLSX, and CSV. You will also be tasked with researching and acquiring GIS data from public sources, ensuring the quality and relevance of the data communicated to your teams and leads. The position requires strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively and meet project deadlines, ensuring an efficient workflow and timely completion of assignments.
