The GIS Technician II position at the Municipality of Anchorage is responsible for advancing and maintaining the utility's geospatial information systems (GIS) databases. This role involves managing horizontal plant asset inventory, engineering condition assessment data, hydraulic engineering data, operational data, and some financial data. The technician will engage in cartography, spatial analysis, and the development and maintenance of GIS mobile applications, as well as scripting in Python and FME.
