About The Position

Langan is seeking a GIS Intern to join its collaborative team in Philadelphia, PA. This individual will serve a key function in providing assistance with data reduction and map creation using Esri's ArcGIS suite of products to support client deliverables. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in use of GIS applications across multiple disciplines, including environmental, site/civil, geotechnical, transportation, natural resources, landscape architecture and survey.

Requirements

• Student actively pursuing a four year or advanced degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities
• Possess reliable transportation to access job sites and a valid driver's license in good standing
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
• Working knowledge of Esri ArcGIS software and extensions and Microsoft Office Suite applications

Responsibilities

• Assist with data reduction, analysis and map creation
• Assist with creating data products for various infrastructure planning initiatives
• Gain experience creating GIS visuals by interpreting incomplete data and information
• Maintain project GIS database(s) to keep all project specific data organized and cataloged
• Perform other duties as requested
