Lake Havasu City is seeking a skilled and proactive GIS Coordinator to join our team. This pivotal role is perfect for a tech-savvy individual who thrives in a project management capacity and is eager to support diverse municipal operations through cutting-edge spatial analysis and data management. General Definition of Work Performs difficult advanced technical work editing, building, supporting, and maintaining the enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) database and software, map production, spatial analysis, GIS product distribution, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the Applications Services Manager. Essential Functions: Your Impact As a GIS Coordinator, you will be crucial to the City's operational efficiency, managing our entire GIS ecosystem. Your key responsibilities will include: System Management: Managing, configuring, and maintaining the ARC GIS Enterprise, ARC GIS Online, and ARC GIS Pro. Designs, creates, updates and administers ESRI databases containing spatial elements and other types of information, Mapping: Develop and maintain interactive online web mapping applications, both for public consumption and for internal city departments to suit specific needs and requests. GIS Systems Integration: Ability to work with departments and vendors to integrate ESRI services into 3 rd party systems. Field Operations Support: Coordinating GIS and Global Positioning System (GPS) work in the field, assisting users with data collection hardware. Project Leadership & Training: Leading GIS-related projects, training users on applications/tools, and providing expert customer support. Infrastructure & Security: Performing software installations/upgrades, troubleshooting GIS infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with enterprise IT security policies. Architecture & Documentation: Creating system architecture documentation, scoping, and building new GIS environments.
