About the position
Oversee and manage all aspects of GIS efforts within Facilities Management, which support mission critical operations, planning, reporting, and compliance. Ensure that all GIS data, maps, and applications meet quality standards and adhere to best practices. Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and consistent communication. This position will work on a team of application administrators within Facilities Management with the primary assignment of supporting the GIS systems through configuration, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and training. Additionally, they will work with their fellow application administrators on integrations between their respective applications.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage GIS efforts within Facilities Management.
- Ensure GIS data, maps, and applications meet quality standards.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients.
- Support GIS systems through configuration and documentation.
- Engage with stakeholders and provide training.
- Collaborate with application administrators on integrations.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with geospatial technology.
- Experience with mapping concepts, including coordinates.
- Experience with data governance requirements, including separation of duties.
- Related technical customer service experience.
- Experience working with clients to understand and translate their requirements.
- A valid Utah Driver license is a condition of employment.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior experience using the ESRI suite of GIS software.
- Prior experience gathering GIS data in the field.
- Familiarity with utility infrastructure and horticulture terms as it relates to mapping.
- Demonstrated strong written/oral communication skills, technical documentation, and status reporting.
