About The Position
The GIS and Application Specialist position is an entry to full performance role focused on supporting Storm Water Management (SWM) through Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data analysis and mapping. The specialist will work closely with the Office of Storm Drain Maintenance (OSDM) to collect, analyze, and integrate GIS data, providing essential geolocation support for stormwater-related activities and projects. This role involves maintaining databases, updating maps, and creating web map applications, contributing to various GIS projects across multiple departments within the Prince George's County Department of Public Works & Transportation.
