About The Position

The Loomis Chaffee School seeks a full-time faculty member and girls varsity soccer coach for the 2026-2027 academic year.    The Loomis Chaffee girls varsity soccer program has a long tradition of excellence and is a perennial power in New England Class A soccer.  This position includes all of the associated responsibilities of helping to manage a dynamic program, such as identifying and helping to recruit mission-appropriate student-athletes, developing and managing practice/game protocols and procedures, working with other coaches in the program at all levels, and collaborating with the college office for those players seeking to continue playing collegiately after graduation.  In addition to serving as a varsity soccer coach, the successful candidate will fill other roles on campus and be a full-time employee of the school, either as an administrator or a teacher.  The school actively encourages candidates who have experience as classroom teachers to apply.     This position requires an undergraduate college degree as well as significant and relevant soccer coaching experience.    Other desired experiences include:   1.  Working in a private and/or boarding secondary school setting. 2.  A proven track record of recruiting mission-appropriate student athletes into a challenging academic environment. 3.   Relevant work experience in an educational institution as either a teacher or administrator.     The school will begin reviewing applications early in January of 2026.  The Loomis Chaffee School is an independent, coeducational boarding/day school of 750 students, located in the historic town of Windsor, Connecticut. Chartered in 1874, the school provides an academically challenging curriculum within a supportive community that affirms individual beliefs and differences.
