About The Position

The Assistant Coach will assist in promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship while helping to create a positive and supportive environment for student-athletes. This position requires collaboration with the coaching staff, effective communication with the school district and community, and a commitment to fostering an educational and competitive sports experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR Certified
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• A commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
• Ability to react to change productively and manage multiple responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

• Previous coaching experience or strong knowledge of the sport is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in coordinating and supervising the athletic program and team.
• Support the development and implementation of training and game programs to Enhance athlete performance.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to athletes, encouraging physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Collaborate with the coaching staff to ensure the athletic program is executed effectively and in alignment with school guidelines.
• Ensure all athletic activities comply with MIAA guidelines and standards.
• Communicate effectively with school district members, the community, and booster clubs.
• Work closely with booster clubs and community organizations to strengthen program support.
• Adapt to change and handle additional tasks as assigned by the Head Coach.
• Support the value of education and the overall mission of the school district.
