The Ginsburg Scholar holds a multifaceted role at the Ginsburg Institute. This position collaborates closely with assigned Nemours physicians to conduct original research for internally funded projects, providing regulatory support through IRB processes, recruiting study participants, and obtaining consent forms. The responsibilities encompass various research activities, including literature reviews, team meetings, and the collection and recording of study data. The Scholar will actively participate in didactic training sessions centered on the development of research and professional skills. Community is an integral part of the program; the Scholar will collaborate closely with community partners to promote health equity initiatives within the Central Florida region. Through these comprehensive efforts, the Ginsburg Scholar contributes to the advancement of health equity research while enhancing professional development and making meaningful contributions to the community. Essential functions: Attend team or project meetings. Attend bi-weekly meeting with mentor. Conduct literature reviews for the research team. Participate in community-based volunteering events. Develop, write, and edit materials for publication and presentations. Review all regulatory to ensure implementation of appropriate methods, practices, and procedures for all research activities in the designated area. Responsible for the completion and submission of documents for IRB’s. Participate in research education and training programs. Monitor project developments and provide progress to assigned mentor.
