About The Position

Responsible for daily care, health, and maintenance for all pigs at designated work areas.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and managerial skills

• Strong prioritization and organizational skills with excellent time management skills
• Dependable and able to work with minimal supervision

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to frequently bend, reach, squat and kneel

Responsibilities

• Daily pig care to include feeding, watering, and herd health.
• Maintenance routine such as cleaning dryer vents, greasing anchor bearings and other maintenance tasks, as necessary.
• Keeping detailed and accurate health records
• Understanding and following HFI’s biosecurity programs.
• Loading and Unloading animals
• Responsible for alarm calls
• Pressure washing and composting.
