Job Summary: GiGi’s Bartenders are responsible for delivering an exceptional, detail-driven beverage and dining experience. This role requires a deep knowledge of the wine and liquor, service standards and people, the ability to anticipate guest needs and execute perfect cocktails and drinks through flawless service in a high-volume, upscale environment. The ideal candidate embodies professionalism, confidence, and genuine hospitality, serving as a key ambassador of the GiGi’s experience.
Requirements
- Previous bartending experience in a high-volume or upscale restaurant or resort preferred.
- Experience with craft cocktails and mixology techniques in preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills .
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol in New York State.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- TIPS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a busy, high-energy environment
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests according to established recipes and standards.
- Provided friendly, attentive service to enhance guest experience and curate the guest experience, adhering to the Gurney’s values.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area.
- Restocking and managing of bar supplies.
- Check guests’ identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws.
- Process orders accurately using the Simphony POS system and handle cash/credit transactions.
- Built rapport with regular patrons to foster a loyal customer base.
- Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and guest-focused culture.
