About The Position

The Gift Shop Attendant at Sazerac Company is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to visitors while managing retail transactions in the gift shop. This role involves maintaining an organized and aesthetically pleasing shop environment, assisting customers with inquiries, and ensuring that inventory is well-stocked. The position requires a proactive approach to customer engagement and a commitment to upholding safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 1 year experience in Customer Service or Consumer Affairs
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
• Ability to project a professional image
• At least 21 years of age
• Good physical health, capable of working on your feet, sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, kneeling, and squatting.
• Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
• In-person job attendance

Nice To Haves

• 1 year experience consulting, managing, and setting up VIP Guest Visits
• 1 year experience in customer service, retail
• 1 year tourism experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure exceptional customer service is provided to all Sazerac House visitors.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
• Be attentive and available to assist visitors.
• Follow up on visitor inquiries and anticipate their needs.
• Thank visitors and extend an offer to return.
• Keep the Gift Shop organized, properly stocked, and clean at all times.
• Re-stock inventory items daily and maintain proper stock levels.
• Be knowledgeable about the merchandise and products available at the Gift Shop.
• Make recommendations on merchandise based on visitor feedback.
• Prepare and stock Gift Bags and assemble cocktail kits and gift sets.
• Ensure adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Environmental Policies and Practices.
• Strive for improvements in tour and Gift Shop operations and suggest enhancements to management.
• Work with other Gift Shop Attendants and Experience Ambassadors to generate revenues and create raving fans of the Sazerac House.
