About the position
The Gift Processing Associate at Michigan Humane plays a crucial role in managing donor gifts through accurate data entry and processing. This position supports the organization's mission of animal welfare by ensuring that donations are properly recorded and acknowledged, contributing to the overall effectiveness of fundraising efforts.
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter financial gifts into donor management software platform, Raisers Edge.
- Participate in the mail opening process.
- Update Raisers Edge with correct donor information, including that received through returned mail.
- Assist with gift-in-kind recording and follow-up.
- Work with Donor Relations Coordinator and Database Relationship Manager to maintain database integrity.
- Support donor calls and inquiries.
- Monitor inventory of mailing supplies and keep stock regulated.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of related experience.
- Experience with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel is required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively with a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, take initiative, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Raisers Edge or comparable database is preferred but not required.
