About The Position

Responsible for the raising of major, blended, and planned gifts on behalf of the Cottage Foundations.All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently. LEVEL OF EDUCATION Minimum: Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent. Preferred: Advanced Degree. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Preferred: Certified Fund Raising Executive (CRFE) designation. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Minimum: Computer skills including proficiency with MS office suite, knowledge andexperience with mail merge functions, and ability to communicate via E-mail.Abilityto become proficient with Raiser's Edge software. Excellent administrative skills, including project management, organization, delegation and prioritization.Proven ability to establish objectives, set performance standards; and experience organizing, motivating and collaborating successfully with volunteers. Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages a targeted major gift prospect portfolio, including grateful patients/families. Meets or exceeds established annual metrics/expectations for major/blended/planned gift solicitations made, major/blended/planned gifts closed, major/blended/planned gift dollars raised, visits or substantive contacts made, and new prospects qualified. (50%)
  • In collaboration with the Director of Gift Planning, develops and implements an effective planned giving outreach program, including identifying and cultivating prospective planned gift donors. (10%)
  • Works closely with hospital leaders and community volunteers to engage prospective donors to the hospital, utilizing volunteer management best practices to ensure effectiveness and a good volunteer experience. (10%)
  • In partnership with the Director of Gift Planning, the Director of Advancement Services, and Manager of Donor Relations, plans and implements donor stewardship and recognition programs that ensure major donors have a great giving experience and are inspired to provide ongoing and increasing levels of support. (10%)
  • Enters donor contact reports, relevant donor communications, donor proposals, and other reports into the CRM system for the assigned portfolio of donors and prospective donors. (10%)
  • Works with Prospect Management to identify new prospective donors, maintain a relevant portfolio of prospective donors, and to enter all relevant data in the CRM to ensure accuracy of portfolio reports. (10%)
