About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a related field, particularly in development and higher education.
  • Ability to interpret and apply legal, compliance, and university policies effectively.
  • Understanding of financial management of donor funds, including endowed and expendable accounts.
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills to deliver high-quality content.
  • Administrative experience with proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience with customer databases and financial reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural competency.

  • Experience in a higher education environment.
  • Familiarity with compliance issues related to fundraising and donor agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an advocate for donors, ensuring their long-term wishes are honored in gift agreements.
  • Manage the comprehensive gift agreement processes, drafting 150-200 agreements per year.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including the Director of Development and the Office of General Counsel to draft, review, and finalize agreements.
  • Oversee the tracking and reporting of gift funds in the CRM system.
  • Manage the production and distribution of acknowledgment letters and donor communications.
  • Lead the monthly pledge report process and provide cross-trained support for stewardship functions.
