About The Position
The GI Technician serves as an assistant in the Outpatient GI Lab, working with patients, preparing instruments and equipment and assisting in the procedure room. Additional duties include: Assist with patient care under the supervision of the RN Maintain the procedure room set up, equipment care and maintenance Assist with specimen collection & disinfection of instruments Assist physicians during procedures Room patients and take vitals
Requirements
- Experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant highly preferred
- CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy & medical terminology required
- Basic computer experience
- Ability to take vitals and perform CPR
Responsibilities
