Communicate patient's needs and observations to the members of the healthcare team. Deliver safe patient care and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for clerical support.
  • Responsible for preparing patient for procedure as part of the admitting process.
  • Responsible for facilitating communication between patients, patient-families, staff, and ancillary departments.
  • Responsible for completing a variety of patient care duties including personal care and basic nursing procedures under the direct supervision of licensed staff.
  • Responsible for staffing and training.
  • Responsible to Patient's safety and infection control.
  • Responsible for adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for always observing confidentiality practices regarding patients and staff.
  • Accesses medication/supply room areas in order to re-stock items in the Surgical Services Areas (OR Suites, PACU, GI and Outpatient Surgery) located in those secure areas; handles only supplies pertinent to those supplies required in the Surgical Services areas.
  • Responsible for assisting licensed staff and Physicians with the GI procedures and by providing the required direct patient care.
  • Communicate patient's needs and observations to the members of the healthcare team.
  • Deliver safe patient care and perform other duties as assigned.
