The Procedure Technician reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. This role is a clinically competent Procedure Tech who provides support service to and under the supervision of the nurses, physicians and other health care professionals related to daily operations of the department in delivering skilled and effective care to patients undergoing endoscopy procedures. This role provides direct and indirect patient care in the ambulatory care setting. The position facilitates patient flow to and from the waiting area and exam/procedural areas. Duties may include setup of exam/procedure room before patient arrival, assisting the nurse or physician in timely room turnover between procedures, cleaning and disinfecting endoscope equipment through efficient and meticulous reprocessing, and ordering and restocking supplies.
