One California Job Summary and Responsibilities Assists with admission and preparation of patients for endoscopy procedures; assists physicians with procedures and documents appropriately; processes equipment according to guidelines; assists with orientation of students and new staff. This person may also assist with collating departmental statistics, ordering supplies. Demonstrates ability to assess/interpret age-specific data. Encourages involvement of patient/family/significant other in decision making related to plan of care. Role models clinical base of practice within specialty or assigned areas, including patient advocacy and ethical conduct Collaborates with staff in assessing, establishing priorities and identifying realistic outcomes for patient population served. Demonstrates expert clinical nursing practice through direct care activities serving as a role model for staff and maintaining clinical competence. Facilitates nursing collaboration with other disciplines of the health care team in achieving optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • 1 year GI/Endoscopy experience
  • AHA Basic Life Support - CPR
