About The Position

As a Gastrointestinal Lab nurse, the role involves applying nursing knowledge and skills in the GI lab, providing individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. The position requires seamless collaboration within an interdisciplinary team in a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes. The GI lab is a standalone unit providing pre, intra, and post-procedural care, currently undergoing renovation with new beds, gurneys, and state-of-the-art equipment across three procedure rooms. A variety of cases are performed, including manometries, PH impedance, Bravo capsule, upper and lower endoscopies, and sevo testing. The department is described as small and collaborative, with teamwork driving the culture. Success in this role requires keen assessment skills, acute critical thinking, a patient-first mindset, enthusiasm to help others, a sense of urgency, and dedication to excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Unencumbered license to practice in the State of Arkansas
• 2 years acute hospital experience in GI, Critical Care or ED/Trauma
• Current Arkansas license as a Registered Nurse
• BLS through the American Heart Association
• ACLS (within 90 days)
