About The Position

Carle Health is seeking an additional BE/BC GI Hospitalist to join our Gastroenterology department at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. The position involves inpatient consults and procedures for Gastroenterology, with significant annual consult and procedure volumes across multiple hospitals. The role includes 24-hour coverage, with shifts scheduled from Monday to Sunday, and will require participation in biweekly colorectal tumor boards.

Requirements

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
• Experience in performing EUS and ERCP procedures.
• Ability to work 25 weeks (175 shifts) per year, including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inpatient consults and procedures for Gastroenterology.
• Provide 24-hour coverage in-house from 7a-7pm.
• Triage calls for GI and round on patients at all three hospital campuses.
• Perform EUS procedures and ERCP.
• Participate in biweekly colorectal tumor boards.
