About The Position

The GI Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at MHB is a full-time position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. This role does not require weekend or holiday rotations, nor is there a call schedule. While GI inpatient hospitalist experience is preferred, candidates with backgrounds in Surgical, Urology, Hepatology, and Oncology are also encouraged to apply. Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Experience in a relevant field, preferably GI inpatient hospitalist experience.

Nice To Haves

• Background in Surgical, Urology, Hepatology, and Oncology fields.

Responsibilities

• Participates in professional development
• Manages the health care of patient populations with compassion through advanced health assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician.
• Coordinates the care of patient populations to ensure promotion of health and wellness through education of patients and families, coordination of services, and placing referrals.
• Develops treatment plans and treats patients with acute problems including illnesses and minor injuries following a predetermined protocol in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner as this is a safety-sensitive position.
