About The Position

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Provider, this position acts as an assist during endoscopic procedures and reprocessing per regulatory standards. Prepare the procedure rooms for use and cleans the rooms and equipment after use. Assists with maintaining an efficient technical operation in the Endoscopy Unit with the goal of optimal patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Demonstrates appropriate clinical practice and promotes patient advocacy. This role is performed in a high activity work environment with multiple priorities and necessitates flexibility in scheduling. Entry level position, training provided on-site. Prior experience in the acute clinical space as a Patient Care Technician, Sterile Processing Technician, or Medical Assistant preferred

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Requires ability obtain 10 continuing education credits or departmental required certification within 2 years of hire
  • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
