About The Position

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Endoscopic Technician for a 26-week travel assignment in Anchorage, Alaska. Requirements

  • One year of recent experience as an Endo Tech
  • Current BLS Certification (AHA/ ARC)
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
  • Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
  • Sensory - Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and turnover procedure rooms, ensuring equipment and instruments are ready for procedures
  • Stock and organize necessary supplies and equipment to support procedural efficiency
  • Sterilize and maintain endoscopes and related equipment in compliance with infection control standards
  • Ensure the maintenance of a sterile field during all stages of the procedure to safeguard patient safety
  • Assist with positioning of patient before and during procedures to support accuracy and comfort
  • Assist in the transport patients to and from procedure and other departments when required
  • Handle specimens with precision and care to maintain diagnostic integrity and follow institutional protocols
  • Collaborate with the endoscopy team to ensure seamless workflow and optimal patient care
  • Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
