About The Position

The GI Endoscopy Nurse at The Physicians' Group is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures. This role involves preparing patients for procedures, monitoring their recovery, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment throughout the process. The nurse will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.

Requirements

• Current RN license in California.
• Experience in GI nursing or endoscopy preferred.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Gastroenterology Nursing (CGRN) is a plus.
• BLS and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures.
• Monitor patients during and after procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
• Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed by the physician.
• Educate patients and their families about the procedures and post-procedure care.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
