About The Position

The Utility Operator position involves monitoring Air compressors and Steam Generators, performing daily walk-through inspections of facilities equipment and grounds, noting abnormalities, entering work orders, and making on-the-spot repairs. The operator will coordinate with the production team to gather all recycling from the building and prepare it for shipment, as well as work with the facilities team to accomplish repairs to the grounds and facilities as assigned. The role requires the ability to obtain a forklift operator license, work inside and outside in both hot and cold environments, and consistently lift 50 pounds throughout the shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to use mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to perform operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledgeable in PPE, OSHA, MSDS, lock-out/tag-out, GMP, SSOP, and HACCP.
• Ability to pass training/certifications as required for qualification.
