About The Position

The GES Picker/Loader position at Frito-Lay involves various warehouse duties within a state-of-the-art automated warehouse system. This role is crucial to the operations of Frito-Lay, a key component of PepsiCo, which has been a leader in snack distribution for over 80 years. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as the warehouse operates 24/7. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Willingness to work at heights using ladders.
  • Ability to work in environments with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick appropriate products on an automatic belt picking system using technology such as Pick-To-Light and Vulcan.
  • Audit cases for accuracy and resolve issues with problem cases.
  • Load trailers via carts or stack cases on the floor of a truck trailer.
  • Meet or exceed individual performance time standards.
  • Monitor label/print machines and clear jams as necessary.
  • Utilize the Warehouse Control System (WCS) to address system faults.
  • Operate auto case erector (ACE) and manage carton recycling.
  • Unload, sort, orient, bail, and prepare trailers for loading.
  • Handle and store cartons properly throughout the warehouse and during loading/unloading.
  • Perform autonomous maintenance activities as required.
  • Complete certifications in various tasks as required.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Assist in weekly product inventory and general housekeeping tasks.
