About The Position

Join a progressive Teaching Health Center in a NCQA-Recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home with Integrated Behavioral Health distinction. RiverStone Health Clinic is home to the Montana Family Medicine Residency, which provides inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care for more than 18,000 patients each year. While teaching the next generation of family physicians and caring for patients in a federally qualified health center, you are supported by a high-performing interdisciplinary team of professionals. Our mission is to improve life, health and safety by providing comprehensive primary care to each patient regardless of their ability to pay. RiverStone Health is currently recognized by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement as an Age-Friendly Health Systems Participant. We are committed to developing our geriatric services to ensure that every elder in our community has access to excellent, comprehensive primary care across multiple care settings. We are seeking a BC/BE internist or family medicine physician passionate about geriatric care to join our team. While completion of an accredited geriatric fellowship is preferred, it is not required. Clinical services provided to our geriatric patients include clinic-based primary care, home health and hospice care, as well as both skilled and long-term care in several local nursing facilities. The ideal candidate feels comfortable with complex multi-morbidity, enjoys working with and advocating for high-risk populations, and is excited to teach principles of geriatric care to the next generation of family physicians. This unique opportunity also includes leadership and development of multiple geriatric initiatives across RiverStone Health, including advance care directives, fall prevention, Medicare annual wellness visits, and comprehensive geriatric assessment. Billings, MT is a regional medical center serving eastern MT, northern WY and the western Dakotas. Voted America's Best Town in 2016 by Outside Magazine, fishing, camping, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, boating and other year-round outdoor activities are close by.
