About The Position

This program offers an exciting career opportunity in healthcare for individuals who enjoy helping others. Participants will be hired as paid hourly employees of Stella Maris and will undergo an internal training program to obtain their CNA/GNA License. Upon successful completion of the course and passing the Geriatric Nursing Assistant exams, trainees will be registered on the Maryland Board of Nursing as a certified CNA/GNA.

Requirements

• High school Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to commit to a full time training schedule.
• Must be available Monday through Friday 9:00am-3:30pm for the entire 6-week class.
• Must be available to work every other weekend, after graduation.
• Must be available to work some holidays.
• A minimum of a 1-year commitment to Stella Maris in a full-time position is required after receiving your CNA/GNA Certifications

Responsibilities

• Attend classes expected to start on April 27th and run for 12 weeks.
• Attend classes held Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:00pm.
• Work available shifts of 7:00am-3:00pm, and 3:00pm-11:00pm after completion of the 12-week class, with every other weekend requirement.
