Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Successfully completed the Geriatric Nursing Assistant Course approved by the State of Maryland.
- Geriatric Nursing Assistant license through the Maryland Board of Nursing
- Maintain current CPR certification
- #INDHP
Responsibilities
- The Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) will perform non-professional services to patients/residents of the Transitional Care Unit (TCU).
- The GNA will provide resident care services essential to caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients/residents of the TCU.
- Retrieves supplies from secure area.
- The GNA function may not exceed the standards of practice set forth by the certification process.
