The Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) will perform non-professional services to patients/residents of the Transitional Care Unit (TCU). The GNA will provide resident care services essential to caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients/residents of the TCU. Retrieves supplies from secure area. The GNA function may not exceed the standards of practice set forth by the certification process.

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Successfully completed the Geriatric Nursing Assistant Course approved by the State of Maryland.
  • Geriatric Nursing Assistant license through the Maryland Board of Nursing
  • Maintain current CPR certification

Responsibilities
