Requirements

  • Current GNA certification in the state of Maryland
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred
  • Genuine passion for providing compassionate, resident-centered care
  • Strong teamwork skills and a positive, respectful attitude
  • Ability to communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and professionalism

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Encourages residents’ independence and assists with self-care as needed
  • Provides personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, mouth care, and nail care
  • Assists with toileting, incontinence care, and changes linens as needed
  • Helps transfer residents safely and obtains help for total lifts
  • Assists with meals and ensures resident comfort at rest times
  • Responds promptly to call lights and reports changes or injuries to supervisors
  • Applies standard precautions and follows isolation procedures
  • Supports restorative and rehabilitative care
  • Performs unit cleaning duties and other tasks as required
